On dogs

A lot has been said and it still isn’t enough. I love their enthusiasm when they greet you even if you had stepped out only for a few moments. Their eyes speak, they smile and they know when to lick away the tears from your face. I believe many a sorrowful face has cheered up when buried in the furry necks of their canine friend. The world would definitely be a lot less friendly place without dogs.

On marriage

I think the institution of marriage was created to make us better people. There’s someone to keep watch over you, lest you slip. There’s someone to love you no matter how dark the sky is. There’s someone to hug you all night. There’s a warm rebuke when you cross the limits, a tender hug when you feel the world crumbling around you and so much more! I think it’s God’s secret way of pampering you!

On violence

There is a lot of truth in the age-old adage drawn from the Bible: He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.

On unfairness

Some of us wonder why those who lie and cheat get away with it and are successful too. I’ve found refuge in
The Parable of the Weeds (Matthew 13:24-30)
He told another story. "God's kingdom is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. That night, while his hired men were asleep, his enemy sowed thistles all through the wheat and slipped away before dawn. When the first green shoots appeared and the grain began to form, the thistles showed up, too.
"The farmhands came to the farmer and said, 'Master, that was clean seed you planted, wasn't it? Where did these thistles come from?'
"He answered, 'Some enemy did this.'
"The farmhands asked, 'Should we weed out the thistles?'
"He said, 'No, if you weed the thistles, you'll pull up the wheat, too. Let them grow together until harvest time. Then I'll instruct the harvesters to pull up the thistles and tie them in bundles for the fire, then gather the wheat and put it in the barn.'"

On time

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Small insights, big impact

Each day we are touched by several tiny bubbles, bubbles of insights. Bubbles that float unhindered, unarmed and freely. Some of these bubbles rest on us in unexpected ways. Sometimes they come to us in the smile of a stranger, a bird song on a sunny day, a warm touch from our mothers, a gentle tugging of our hands by a toddler, an unexpected nuzzle from a pet. They warm our hearts and leave an unspoken message only for us to hear. This blog is dedicated to those subtle but powerful messages. Happy reading!
